Stop Being Your Husband's Mom

This is why you’re tired. 🤦🏽‍♀️

You have SO much on your mind. You carry the weight of it all, and it honestly depletes you to the point of exhaustion.

House managers actually get paid six figures to do what you do. Remember that you don’t have to do it all; you just don’t. When it comes to household responsibilities, women take on managerial roles to a greater degree than our male counterparts—which also takes up our mental space.

If this sounds like you, I want to offer you one word: outsource. Yes, there is power in outsourcing. I know this can also come with shame, most of which is cultural. Here's the thing though...the trophy for "doing it all" is superficial and made up. So why are you trying to do this?

In my household, we save up and outsource laundry and cleaning. And we order takeout food 1x a week. This is an equal opportunity household, and I didn't bust my behind for close to a decade in school to land right back where my ancestors were: at home on auto-pilot.

You deserve a better life, mama. You don't have to do it all, nor do you have to serve as your partner's mom. You are PARTNERS: not slave and master.
