It's a new year and a new day! I am very excited to introduce the EZ Breezy Life Podcast! Just like our blog, we will feature weekly stories to inspire you to live your best life!

This week's episode feature's a brief introduction to the podcast. The focus is on the importance of relationships and knowing when it's time to let go of the old to embrace the new.

We are also tapping into the Social Wellness component of our Happy, Healthy, and Well series. The focus is on the importance of relationships and knowing when it's time to let go of the old to embrace the new. A Harvard study showed that our friendships and joy in our life would have the most significant impact on the quality of our life.

“The surprising finding is that our relationships and how happy we are in our relationships has a powerful influence on our health,” said Robert Waldinger, director of the study, a psychiatrist at Massachusetts General Hospital and a professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. “Taking care of your body is important, but tending to your relationships is a form of self-care too. That, I think, is the revelation” (Mineo, 2017).

Some key takeaways from this week's podcast are:

  • The 80 year Harvard study that studied the importance of healthy, quality relationships

  • Why comfort is the enemy of your progress

  • Storms being part of the learning and growing process

  • Your next level might mean losing some friends

  • The difference between associates and true friends.

  • You have decisions to make regarding who and what you will allow.
