It’s time to get moving! After eating through two months' worth of snack in four weeks, I've come to the realization that sugar and carbohydrates are not a healthy part of physical distancing survival strategies. The cravings are impacting my glow up, so they have to go!
Physical activity is a great way to get in shape or simply live a healthier lifestyle. You don’t have to be a marathon runner to be healthy, but the CDC recommends "at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic physical activity or 75 minutes of vigorous-intensity physical activity, or an equivalent combination each week."
Some benefits of exercise include:
1. Weight Management
Physical activity is a great way to lose or maintain your ideal weight.
2. Healthy Skin
Working out stimulates blood flow and cell regeneration.
3. Increased Mental Health
Physical activity helps boost the release of hormones that contribute to better mood and brain function.
4. Better Sleep
Exerting extra energy can be just what you need to get a better night of rest
5. Increased Energy Levels
The more physically fit you are, the more energy you have to meet your goals and actually enjoy your life.
As such, we (yes we) are going to ramp up our health and wellness and get moving. This is why fitness guru, Sayo, will be hosting a virtual group workout for us this Saturday, April 25th at 9:00 am via zoom. Visit the link below to register.
